Factors Affecting the Accuracy of a Solid-State Laser Gyroscope with Mode-Locking

In our work we present the results of study aimed to determine of the main factors affecting the stability and accuracy of a solid-state laser gyroscope based on YAG:Cr
⁴⁺
during modelocking. It has been determined that the best suppression of internal noise and external disturbances in a laser gyroscope during mode locking is provided with the greatest possible coupling of waves in one direction, which depends both on the depth and on the phase shift of the amplitude modulation. A method for perimeter stabilization based on an absorbing cell and a system for creating a frequency bias using an electro-optical phase modulator, which operates in a pulsed mode, are also considered.
