Inertial-Satellite Micro-Navigation System for Radar with Synthetic Aperture and Doppler Channel for Measuring Trajectory Velocity

A technology for estimating and compensating trajectory instabilities of a radar with synthetic antenna aperture (SAR) using an integrated micro-navigation system is considered. Such a system includes, in addition to the inertial satellite module, a Doppler velocity and drift angle meter. The integration of these meters makes it possible to estimate not only the positional, but also the angular instabilities of the phase center of the SAR antenna. The results of mathematical modeling are presented, confirming the feasibility of using the proposed technology to improve the resolution of SAR in a turbulent atmosphere.
