Experience in Development of a Magnetic Compass Correction System

The paper presents an experience in developing three versions of a magnetic compass correction system intended to suppress its errors due to the ship rolling and pitching motion. The results from bench tests of a magnetic compass with the implemented versions of the correction system are presented. Advantages and disadvantages of the correction systems are analyzed.
