Research on Dead Zone Suppression of Fiber Optic Gyroscope Based on Cross-Coupling Intensity Calibration

Dead zone is a bottleneck problem that restricts the engineering application accuracy of the high-precision fiber optic gyroscope (FOG). The main cause of the dead zone in FOG is the cross-coupling of circuits. Currently, the electrical dither method is commonly used to suppress it. Specifically, the electrical dither step height is determined through debugging, which leads to low efficiency and poor feasibility. This article proves that the parameters of the electrical dither signal can be determined by the cross-coupling intensity calibration results of the FOG circuit, proposing a more concise and effective measure for suppressing the dead zone of the FOG. It has strong guiding significance for the efficient and high-quality production of the FOG.
