Coupling of Counterpropagating Waves Through Scattering on Elements of a Nonplanar Symmetric Resonator of a Four-Frequency Zeeman Laser Gyroscope

In this paper we study the magnitude of the coupling of counterpropagating waves due to scattering in Zeeman laser gyroscopes with four-frequency generation by measuring the amplitude of the sideband signal of codirectional waves for orthogonal polarizations. The found value of the coupling was used to minimize it by in-phase displacement of the mirrors. Measurements of the characteristic recovery time of the coupling of counterpropagating waves after entering and exiting the lock-in zone, performed by the method of recovering the phase of the beat signal for four-frequency generation regime in laser gyroscopes with different intermode frequencies, are presented.
