Coupling Integration of Distributed Hydro and Photovoltaics in Distribution Network considering Geographic Information

Large-scale distributed generation such as photovoltaics (PV) increases the difficulty of distribution network planning, this paper proposes a coupling integration method of distributed hydro power and PV in distribution networks considering geographic information. Firstly, several correlation and complementarity indices of PV and small hydropower in terms of load and energy at the micro-meteorological scale are proposed. Then, considering the spatial distribution and correlation and complementarity of massive distributed PV and hydropower plants, a multi-objective cluster optimization division model is established, and the model is solved by multi-objective genetic algorithm (NSGA-II). Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by a realistic case in China.
