Day-ahead Economic Dispatch of Integrated Energy Systems Based on Robust Optimization

The integrated energy system (IES) can promote the accommodation of renewable energy generation and improve energy utilization efficiency. In this context, a day-ahead economic dispatching strategy of the IES based on robust optimization is proposed. Firstly, an integrated demand response model based on customers' energy consumption behaviors is introduced. Then the day-ahead economic dispatching model of the IES is proposed to minimize the operational cost with concerned constraints considered, such as the operational constraints of the IES and two-stage operational constraints of Power-to-Gas (P2G) devices with hydrogen doping in the mixed gas. The robust optimization theory is employed to deal with the uncertainty of customers' demand response degrees. The proposed robust optimization model is reformulated as a linear programming problem by employing the duality theory so that the proposed model can be efficiently solved by the commercial solver, i.e. CPLEX. The simulation results show that the proposed day-ahead economic dispatch strategy of the IES can effectively improve the economic performance of the IES as well as the consumption of renewables, and reduce operation risk of the IES.
