The effect of reference condition selection on parameter extraction of DDM for PV modules with different methods

Double-diode model is widely used in photovoltaic system modelling and output estimation because of its high accuracy. This paper uses different methods to obtain the parameters of DDM under reference condition and uses transformation equations to get the parameters of DDM under any reference conditions. Applying different methods and selecting different reference conditions will affect the accuracy of parameter extraction, then it will affect the estimated and calculated I-V curves. The parameters of the double-diode model are calculated by analytical method, optimization method and hybrid method. Five different reference conditions are selected to obtain the parameters of the double-diode model under any reference condition, and the RMSE of 36765 curves are obtained and compared. The estimated Pm calculated by three methods is compared with the measured data based on condition 4 and 5. The estimated I-V curves calculated by three methods based on high irradiance reference conditions are compared with measured data.
