Detection of On-Road Vehicle Speed Using Software-Defined Radar

The paper presents a work on the SDR (Software Defined Radio) technology, including hardware schemes and application fields. A comparative study using different types of SDR devices is presented and several tests are carried out for the detection of on-road vehicle speed using open-source software. The results of the studies enable us to design and develop SDR-based applications which can solve significant problems related to traffic applications.
