Study on abnormal heating temperature detection of tension clamp in transmission lines

The problem of tension clamp abnormal heating is prominent, which seriously threatens the safe operation of transmission lines. In this paper, reversible temperature indicating coating is prepared for the abnormal heating temperature of tension clamp at 80°C, and its discoloration, weather resistance and electrical properties are studied. The results shows that with the increase of the content of bisphenol A, the color of the material become darker first and then become lighter, but the color-changing temperature remain unchanged. With the increase of naphthalene content, the color of color-changing materials gradually become lighter, the initial temperature of discoloration increases, and the end temperature of discoloration remains unchanged. Combined with the reversibility of materials, the optimal mass ratio of discolored materials is optimized. The temperature indicating coating is prepared by microcapsule of color-changing materials, which have a color-changing temperature range of 75∼80 °C and good acid-alkali resistance. With the increase of the proportion of color-changing microcapsules, the surface flashover voltage of the temperature indicating coating increases first and then decreases, and its peak value is 9.13 kV/cm. The research results can provide reference for the detection of abnormal heating defects in tension clamp of transmission lines.
