A Detection Method for Detuned Components of DC Filters in UHVDC System Based on Fault Record Data

Detuning of DC filters in Ultra High Voltage Direct Current (UHVDC) system will increase the harmonic level, and the location of the detuning component has important application value for improving the operation reliability of DC filters. This paper proposes a method to detect the detuning components of the dual-tuned DC filter based on fault recording. First, the components are grouped according to the filter structure, and the detuning components in each group and the corresponding detuning degree can be determined by calculating the harmonic current and harmonic impedance by using the electrical quantity of the recording measuring point recorded by the system after the fault. Finally, the correctness and validity of the proposed method and criterion are verified by the calculation and analysis of PSCAD simulation data and on-site recording data.
