Analysis of the temperature rise at the primary contact end of current transformers at different wind speeds

Excessive contact resistance at the primary end of the current transformer is the main cause of abnormal temperature rise, and the effect of contact resistance on the primary end temperature varies at different ambient wind speeds. This paper uses the finite element simulation method to establish a three-dimensional model of the current transformer and carry out thermal-electrical bi-directional coupling calculations. Finally, taking the current transformer model LB7-110W3 as an example, the mapping relationship between primary end temperature and contact resistance under different wind speed conditions is obtained to provide reference for maintenance personnel's decision making.
