Research on Local Flexibility Resources Participating in Power Balance Based on Traffic Light Mechanism

With the introduction of the “double carbon” target, the large number of wind turbines and photovoltaic power generation systems connected to the grid has increased the overall uncertainty and volatility of the system, posing a huge challenge to the operational safety of the grid. By invoking local flexibility resources to participate in power balancing, the pressure on power supply can be effectively alleviated. This paper proposes a traffic light trading mechanism for local flexibility resources to participate in power balancing, which classifies grid statuses according to the degree of urgency of power shortage with reference to traffic lights in the transportation system; then analyses in which way local flexibility resources participate in power balancing under different grid statuses; and finally designs a local flexibility market trading mechanism to regulate the behavior of local flexibility resources participating in power market trading.
