Research of Automatic Engine Assembly System Based on Industrial Robot

Green, intelligent and customized are opportunities and challenges for the development and transformation of high-end equipment manufacturing industry. It has been applied in the field of intelligent assembly and inspection. As the core part of automobile, the assembly line of engine has realized the basic automation, but most of them are assisted by human. There are some problems such as low assembly precision, low efficiency, high labor cost and labor intensity. According to this, this paper independently developed the engine automatic assembly workstation based on industrial robot. The workstation combined with the engine oil pan gluing and material grasping and handling AGV car, realized the automatic assembly of engine crankshaft connecting rod and valve mechanism, automatic coating detection of oil pan, automatic delivery of workpiece, etc., which improved the intelligent and customized ability of engine assembly line. It can meet the assembly requirements of different types of engines, and has the significance of application and promotion.
