Research on solar vector determination method based on MBD technology

With the ongoing digital transformation in the aerospace industry, spacecraft development using Model-based Design(MBD) technology is becoming increasingly popular. Implementing MBD technology in practical projects can significantly enhance development efficiency. The satellite attitude’s determination and control system, as well as its energy system, are two crucial subsystems. The sun vector serves as both the satellite’s energy source and an essential component of the attitude determination system. It is frequently employed in dual vector combination attitude determination based on the magnetic field vector and the sun vector. The sun sensor plays a vital role in obtaining sun vector information. This paper presents a method that utilizes two pyramid solar sensors, as well as two-current, three-current, and recursive estimation methods, to measure the solar vector, allowing for all-weather measurement. This paper first establishes a mathematical simulation model using MBD technology, followed by simulation verification. The code is then automatically generated and embedded in the onboard computer for ground semi-physical simulation testing. The results demonstrate that this approach can effectively improve the reliability and accuracy of solar vector measurement.
