A mid-term scenario analysis on the impact of a possible price cap to gas on the pan-European power market

The increase in gas prices strongly impacts on electricity prices in current European markets framework, and at European level the question arises on how to protect end consumers. In this work, impacts of three different gas price containment measures are assessed at pan-European level in a mid-term scenario, analyzing the consequences on the zonal electricity prices, on transits between market zones and on the thermal generation mix.
