An ultra-broadband transmission terahertz device based on multi-layer ring aperture arrays

An ultra-broadband metamaterial device is proposed. This is accomplished by meticulously designing a multi-layer composite structure array consisting of metal and medium materials, in conjunction with the integration of periodic ring holes on the metal surface and the utilization of the inherent characteristics of metal column plasma to optimize structural parameters. Parametric scanning was conducted to evaluate the transmission spectrum, with the findings confirming the resonance characteristics of the optimized structure. Simulation results indicate that, at a center frequency of 1.5 THz, the transmission rate within the frequency band of 1.04-2.26 THz exceeds 80%, reaching a maximum transmission rate of 95%.
