Two-Port Inset-Fed with Stub-Loaded Circular MIMO-Antenna with V-Shaped Slit for 38.0GHz 5G Wireless Applications

The microstrip patch antenna for future 5G microwave access communication is presented in this study. It has a centred frequency of 38GHz and a narrow bandwidth of 37.23 to 38.94 GHz, and it is ideally suited for tiny devices thanks to its compact size and inexpensive substrate. Firstly, a single-element microstrip patch antenna radiating Electromagnetic-Energy is designed and then transformed into a two-port configuration. Microstrip line feeding technique is used in the proposed antenna transmitting EM wave propagation. It consists of Rogers RT5880 (LOSSY) substrate with dielectric constant 2.2 with tangent loss of 0.0009 and thickness of 0.254 mm, PEC patch and PEC ground are used. For a single element antenna, the dimension of the substrate is

. The reflection loss and peak gain corresponds to −26.16dB and 8.50dBi at 38.0GHz. The MIMO having 2 elements with 10mm (port to port distance) spacing has been proposed with MIMO diversity-performance corresponds to
$\text{ECC} < 0.001,\text{DG} > 9.999\text{dB},\text{TARC} < -10\text{dB}\ \text{and}\ \text{CCL} < 0.022$
. The proposed antenna is simulated on Ansys HFSS and the results suggest that the proposed antenna is suitable for enabling high-speed, low-latency wireless communications, base stations and user equipment in 5G infrastructure networks.
