Implementation of efficient swarm intelligence based FANET using modified LEACH protocol

The Flying Ad-Hoc Network (FANET) is an interconnected system of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Because they self-organize and provide flying nodes that are inexpensive, adjustable, and simple to set up, FANETs are able to do complex works quickly and cooperatively. Communication design has difficulties because of the high node movement and the topology's high degree of dynamicity, especially when developing a routing algorithm for UA V networks. Clustering, a hierarchical routing system, is required to provide scalability, survival, and payload distribution among UAVs in order to preserve efficiency. In this study, the Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) protocol, a cluster-based routing protocol (CBRP), was carefully examined in terms of its node count, benefits, drawbacks, method, applications, and prospective future advancements for F ANETs. In addition, the structure, difficulties, scale, traits, clustering strategy, notable features, CH selection, routing metrics, and performance measurements were examined.
