Caculation of The floating potential of the TWT electron gun in EOS

EOS(electron optical simulator) is a three- dimensional steady-state particle trajectory code for finite elements that can be calculated electron guns and multistage depressed collector. In order to simulate the floating potential of the gun electrode when the electrode is disconnected from the power supply. EOS has added the floating potential calculation code. In this paper, we introduce the theory of floating potential calculation in EOS. We compare the results of floating potential calculated in EOS and CST, and the comparison results show good agreement. This verified the validity of the EOS calculation of the floating potential. We can use EOS to predict the floating potential performance in TWT electron gun or multistage depressed collector.
