Simulation Study of a 36-Vane 2.5MW X-Band Coaxial Magnetron Interaction Cavity

In this paper, a 36-vane 2.5 MW X-band coaxial magnetron is studied by the empirical formulas calculation and PIC simulation methods. Based on the initial structural parameters obtained by empirical calculation, the coaxial magnetron interaction resonant cavity structure is optimized by PIC simulation method, and the results show that the output power, work frequency are ~2.65MW@9.3GHz, which match the design goals.
