Simulation Design of a 28 GHz Third Harmonic Cyclotron Magnetron Electron Gun

According to the requirements of the 28 GHz third harmonic cyclotron, a single-anode magnetically controlled injection gun with a voltage of 30kV, a current of 1A, a guide center radius of 7mm, a speed ratio of 1.4 and a transverse velocity dispersion of 2.41% was designed. Simulations were carried out using Magic particle simulation software and the effects of voltage and current on the velocity ratio and transverse velocity dispersion were analysed. From the simulation results, it can be concluded that the velocity ratio and velocity dispersion of the single-anode electron gun designed in this paper can meet the design requirements.
