Optimal Design and Analysis of Sheet Beam Electron Gun with High Compression Ratio

For the sheet beam electron gun with high compression ratio, the electron beam state is very sensitive to the structural parameters of the electron gun. An optimization program SB_EgunAPP1.1 is designed, which can optimize the sheet beam electron gun with high compression ratio. In this program, the optimal sheet beam electron gun is obtained by changing the structural parameters of the electron gun and then iterating continuously. We have designed several 45kV 2.5A electron guns with different compression ratios through the optimization program. It is concluded that with the increase of the compression ratio, the velocity ratio of the electron beam increases, especially in the direction of greater compression, at the same time, the current density of the cathode emission surface decreases.
