Smart Energy Meter for Automatic Billing Using IoT with AWS

In the developing world, energy consumption and energy measurement play a vital role. This project aims to overcome the problems caused by energy meters and meter readings. Normally, energy meter readings are taken manually, which takes more time and requires more manpower. Instead of manual reading, this smart energy meter for automatic billing using IoT was introduced. Energy usage and billing details were delivered to the customer's mobile phone via mail or message from the IoT, which is linked to AWS (Amazon Web Service). This device sends the energy consumption of every component connected to the energy meter So, the user can easily monitor the electricity usage. This smart meter also sends the units consumed and billing details every 15 days. This device has a unique ID number that sends the electricity usage and billing details to the customer and the electricity board. It also operates both manually and automatically. This device will prevent electricity theft and save electricity by giving an alert message.
