Smart supply chain in Industry 4.0: The Moroccan strategy to adopt digital transformation

The emergence of Industry 4.0 as the fourth industrial revolution has brought about a significant shift in the way industries operate globally. With the help of advanced technologies such as the Internet of Things, Big Data, and Blockchain, Industry 4.0 has revolutionized the supply chain processes and flows by integrating smart components vertically and horizontally. Today's smart supply chain provides its stakeholders with the ability to optimize and streamline their processes while achieving the goal of reducing production costs and company expenses. This has led to a significant improvement in manufacturing performance. Morocco has also recognized the potential benefits of digital integration in its national economy and has adopted and developed intelligent tools and platforms accordingly. The Moroccan strategy in this context is based on three major axes: digital ecosystem and innovation, digital administration, and social inclusion and human development. Through this approach, Morocco aims to enhance its competitiveness and economic growth by embracing the potential of Industry 4.0 and the associated digital technologies.
