Cluster-based QoS Enhancement in MANET

The main objective of this research is to design an energy-efficient MANET network based on clustering that enhances QoS in wireless communication. Quality of service for Mobile Ad-hoc Networks, wireless networks that are not dependent on controlled infrastructure or preexisting infrastructure access points, is a field that is constantly expanding. Due to the quick development of mobile, real-time, and multimedia technologies, there is a greater need to strictly support service quality for the overall usage of energy. In this paper, we present the application of two protocols Ad-hoc On-Demand Distance Vector protocol and LEACH protocol so as to achieve energy efficient transmission in MANET using NS2 software.We observed that nodes use less energy as they transmit the data. In this paper, we observe 10 nodes and after a certain time the cluster-head changes as per the requirement and energy decreases from 100mJ to 93mJ and as a result the energy consumption is less after some time.
