Design and Analysis of L-Shape Circular Patch MIMO Antenna For Biomedical Applications

In this Paper, a simple circular L-shape patch dual port MIMO antenna with low profile of 0.035mm (0.00028λ at 2.45GHz) integrated into a L-shape circular sector patch with radius (12mm) (0.0326λ) is proposed. The designed MIMO Antenna generates 2.4GHz band (2420MHz- 2510MHz) and 5.8GHz band (5710MHz-5870MHz) for MBAN and WBAN band operation. Two L-Shape circular patch place orthogonally technique to enhance the isolation between the two antennas. The intended antenna design can produce decoupled waves in the 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz with low envelop correlation coefficient of below than 0.03. The gain of the proposed antenna at 2.45 GHz and 5.8GHz are 4.2 and 4.0 dB respectively. The simulation and parametric analysis of antenna is implemented by using CST Studio 2019 with suitable boundary conditions. The simulated SAR value of an antenna is tested by using the human body model 0.134Kg/Watt per 1g. The proposed antenna can be used for biomedical applications.
