SAR Down-Look Imaging Measurement and Data Processing Method Based on Vehicle Radar System

In recent years, the electromagnetic scattering characteristics of large ground equipment have attracted more and more attention, and how to accurately and efficiently obtain the electromagnetic scattering characteristics under the condition of large grazing Angle and carry out scattering source diagnosis and analysis is a hot research topic. In typical field environments such as parking lots and factory areas, the radar echo data of the target are acquired by the apparent measurement in SAR mode of the vehicle radar system. Due to the lack of high-precision scanning frame, turntable and other equipment, the direct imaging will produce serious defocus phenomenon. Therefore, motion compensation must be carried out by hardware and software to eliminate the influence of motion errors. Aiming at the scene environment target size small scene, close, and large seed SAR mode depending on the test application scenario, this paper proposes a vehicle-mounted radar system based SAR imaging measurement and data processing method, under the method through differential GPS data correction and image domain phase error estimation of software and hardware combination of motion compensation algorithm to realize the goal of focusing imaging. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by experiments.
