Calculation of the Adsorption Characteristics of SnS2 on Typical Decomposition Components of the Environmentally Friendly Insulating Gas C5 F10 O

, the eco-friendly insulating gas $\mathrm{C}_{5}\mathrm{~F}_{10}\mathrm{O}$ has gained widespread attention due to its low greenhouse effect and strong insulation characteristics. Due to the existence of partial discharge in electrical equipment, $\mathrm{C}_{5}\mathrm{~F}_{10}\mathrm{O}$ will inevitably decompose to a series of by-products such as CF
4
and $\mathrm{C}_{2}\mathrm{~F}_{6}$, posing threat to the stable operation of the equipment. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a suitable measure to monitor the partial discharge by-products of $\mathrm{C}_{5}\mathrm{~F}_{10}\mathrm{O}$ and guarantee the safe operation of power system. This paper evaluated the adsorption properties of SnS
2
towards CF
4
and $\mathrm{C}_{2}\mathrm{~F}_{6}$ by applying the First-principle calculation. The results provide a theoretical basis for the design of feasible gas sensors in the partial discharge monitoring of $\mathrm{C}_{5}\mathrm{~F}_{10}\mathrm{O}$ insulated equipment.
