Calculation of Electro-thermal Coupling Power Flow Considering Corona Loss of Overhead Line

In extreme weather, the corona loss of high-voltage overhead lines accounts for a large proportion of the total power system loss. In order to make the calculation result of electrothermal coupling power flow (ETCPF) more accurate, this paper proposed a power flow calculation model considering the corona loss of high-voltage overhead lines, namely electro-thermal coupling power flow considering the corona loss of overhead line (ETCPF-CL), and introduced conductor temperature as the state variable of power system. The convergence of Newton method for ETCPF-CL is in good convergence, but the calculation speed is slow, so this paper simplified the Jacobian matrix of the Newton method and proposed a fast calculation method. The case studies on a regional power system in Shandong province, China were carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed the fast calculation method.
