Decoupled Control of A Single-Input Multi-Output Converter Applicable to RED Systems

Reverse electrodialysis (RED) exhibits the prominent advantage of direct electricity conversion when extracting salinity gradient power (SGP) from the mixing of two solutions. A single-input multi-output (SIMO) converter is indispensable for delivering power from RED stacks to multiple loads with high efficiency. In this paper, the detailed process of decoupled control between the duty cycle and phase-shift time is elaborated, which facilitates the control scheme design. Simulation and experimental results validate the effectiveness of the decoupled control block.
