Ablation and Surface Morphology of HPHT-Diamond Plates During Libs Investigation

The article presents the results of micro- and macro morphology studies of HPHT diamond surface after laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy measurement of diamond plates. The article describes the characteristic features of the interaction of laser beams with the surface of sectorial HPHT diamond plates. It was discovered that the mechanism of graphitization during LIBS measurements depends on the crystallographic orientation of the plate, the presence and concentration of the doping element, and its distribution over the diamond growth sectors.
