Design and Simulation of a Tubular Permanent Magnet Linear Generator with Doubly Salient Structure

Based on the structural characteristics of switched reluctance linear motor and doubly salient permanent magnet motor, a new type cylindrical doubly salient permanent magnet linear motor is proposed. The structure, working principle and design method of the motor were expounded in detail. By using the finite element simulation software, the static characteristic parameters of the motor were obtained. Simploer and Maxwell were used to simulate the motor running with load, and the results showed that the designed motor could output the required twophase square wave voltage, which preliminarily verified that the designed motor was suitable for direct drive linear power generation such as wave power generation.
