Analysis and Modeling of Novel Organic Material BOBzBT2 With Strong Coupling of Frenkel Excitons and Surface Plasmon

The modeling studies and the experimental results have been demonstrated, showing a strong coupling (SC) between a collection of identical Frenkel excitons and the surface plasmon (SP) in this presented work. In an SP resonance (SPR) setup based on the Otto configuration, we have introduced a novel organic material, 1,4-bis[2-(5-thiophen-2-yl)-1-benzothiophene]-2,5-dioctyloxybenzene (BOBzBT2) and observed experimentally the SC regime at room temperature. We have demonstrated that the behavior of the SC regime can be simulated by placing the dipole sources in the simulation model, imitating the Frenkel excitons. The simulation model has demonstrated a close match with the experimental observation, indicating the applicability and practicality of the presented model.
