Knowledge Service of University Libraries Based on the Characteristics of Scientific Research Cooperation: Case of Wuhan University of Technology

Using the methods of social network analysis, word frequency statistics and python programming, we analyze the characteristics of university scientific research cooperation by analyzing the co-authored papers of Wuhan University of Technology, and based on this, put forward the optimization strategies of knowledge service of university libraries to help national scientific and technological innovation. Through the analysis of four dimensions, namely, the scale, type, intra-institutional co-authorship, inter-institutional co-authorship and co-authored region, the characteristics of university research cooperation are summarized and corresponding knowledge service strategies are put forward. In view of the characteristics of teacher-student co-authorship and high degree of English co-authorship, it is suggested to activate student groups and regularly carry out training camps and other research ability training. Coauthor institutions on campus are characterized by small clusters and weak integration of arts and sciences. It is suggested to set up a project database to promote the integration of different institutions by means of information technology. Based on the characteristics of university-enterprise co-authoring, intra-institutional co-authoring, intra-provincial co-authoring and domestic co-authoring, it is suggested to build regional alliance and promote the upgrading of library knowledge services through multi-force cooperation.
