Teaching Geometric Probability via TI-nspire CX II CAS Handheld Graphing Calculator and Monte Carlo Methods in High School Mathematics Experiments

Taking the approximate calculation of Pi as an example, this paper discusses how to use the TI-nspire CX II CAS handheld graphing calculator in high school mathematics teaching and mathematics experiments. Using statistical data analysis and Python language, respectively, two mathematical experiments are designed which can help students well understand the principles of the Monte Carlo method and numerical calculation of Pi by geometric probability model. This paper is a good practice case on how to apply information technology in mathematics experiments in high school.
