Analysis of the Next Release Problem to Tackle Requirement Selection

The Next Release Problem (NRP) is a component of the Search-Based Software Engineering (SBSE) domain. The SBSE area proposes to employ search-based optimization techniques to address issues in software engineering. It is an emerging area of research. Selecting the wrong requirement may result in unhappy stakeholders and potential financial loss. This research study examined several optimization techniques for solving the problem of the subsequent release. In this research work, a novel framework is introduced for solving NRP based on different scenarios. The risk associated with decision-making can be reduced when scenarios are built to analyze the needs.
