Toward FEOL integration of SiN waveguides into a photonic BiCMOS process

We study the integration of PECVD based silicon-nitride waveguides in a photonic BiCMOS platform. High yield and unaffected performance of electronics prove, that required adaptations to the baseline process are possible. Low optical losses of <2 dB/cm (1310 nm) are achieved.
