How Will Carbon Pricing Models Affect Integrated Energy System Operation

Reducing greenhouse gas emissions to protect the environment have become a global consensus in response to the increasing prominence of environmental problems. Various measures such as carbon tax policy, carbon market mechanism, and market model using stepped carbon price have been proposed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This paper takes the economic operation of the integrated energy system as the research object, and uses a variety of carbon regulation methods to guide the integrated energy system (IES) to be low-carbon and clean. It establishes three optimization models and compares the carbon emission cost and reduction effect of the integrated energy model under different mechanisms. The paper introduces cogeneration (CHP) units with adjustable thermoelectric ratio to replace conventional units to improve the economic and low-carbon performance of the complex.
