Study on the Effect of Double Inset Fed for Microstrip Patch Antenna for 5G Application

An intensive performance analysis and a simulation- based study are carried out on a double-inset fed microstrip patch antenna in this paper. In our microstrip patch antenna design, we used a Rogers RT/Duroid 5870 substrate having a dielectric constant of 2.33 which is applicable for high-frequency broadband operations. We incorporated double inset fed varying the dimensions in the range of the width 0.1 to 1.0 mm & length 0.05, 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 mm respectively. In our proposed design, we got a return loss close to -60dB, VSWR close to 1, and bandwidth of 4.65GHz. The results are aligned with the requirements of 5G communication, and the output appears to be effective for 5G applications.
