The Decoupled Network Feedforward Control of Weinberg Converter

Weinberg converter is widely used in space applications due to its high power to volume, weight ratios, fault tolerance and high reliability. The converter provides continuous current at its output, which can reduce the requirement of the output filter. However, the spacecraft power subsystem results in the complicated model due to the multiple input sources and load types. The dynamic response of Weinberg converter control system is affected by many factor, resulting in insufficient dynamic response ability. In order to improve the dynamic response capability, this paper proposes a decoupling method based on the decoupling network (DN). The high performance controller is designed because the solar array input current and output current are fully considered. The results show that the better dynamic performance of the output voltage can be obtained by using the proposed design method.
