A Conceptual Design and Modular Configuration Method of the Micropile Drilling Rig for Transmission Tower Construction

Ultra high voltage (UHV) transmission refers to the technology of power transmission using voltage levels above 1,000 kV, which is also the most advanced power transmission technology in the world. However, stable power transmission requires reliable tower piles, and for the above problems, this paper proposes a modular drilling rig configuration design method. First, the relationships among users, case information and design activities are analyzed and the matter-element model is proposed to express user demands and case information by combining them with the triangular fuzzy number. Then, a house of Quality Function Deployment is established to map user demands to engineering features, which is the fusion of the users, the bill of materials and the design activities. In addition, the weight of engineering features is calculated with the difference of module cases. Next, the similarity algorithm of engineering features is improved to select module cases that meet user's preferences. Finally, the assembly relationship between module cases is reasoned based on the interface matter-element model, which forms a conceptual product. Moreover, the feasibility of the method is verified by the design of the micropile drilling rig.
