Bibliometric Analysis of Risk Management in Processes Industry

In order to effectively prepare for future protective and adaptive policies, it is necessary to evaluate past research work. Understanding and evaluating the state of research activities in the subject of risk management, with a particular emphasis on the process industry, is the purpose of the present study. Bibliometric analysis was performed using the data set provided by Sci-Verse Scopus. Using prominent keywords and operators, a total of 122 articles were selected for the study. The study period was from 1987-2022, Almost 75% of the contribution is coming from the USA, followed by the United Kingdom, Germany, and Iran. There is spike in the number of publications in the year 2014. Out of 210 keywords searched; FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, Uncertainty Analysis, and Quantitative risk management qualified for the occurrence threshold with good link strength. The engineering domain had the highest percentage of documents (44%), followed by computer science and earth &planetary science (9%), Energy (8%), environment with (7%), chemical engineering and material science (4%) respectively. The present study will be helpful for researchers working in risk management. The Scopus data was used to review co-citation established risk management in the process industry.
