Research on Overvoltage Identification Strategy Using Time-Frequency Domain Characteristic

Different overvoltages have different generation mechanisms and transient processes, and the damage to system insulation is also different. The identification and classification of overvoltage is beneficial to the study of the system transient process, and is important to improve the system insulation distribution and ensure the safe and stable operation of the system. In this paper, we propose to use the minimum steepness of voltage waveform and discrete wavelet transform high frequency energy sum as the time domain and frequency domain feature quantity respectively, and combine the advantages of both to identify different overvoltages, and verify the reliability and accuracy of the identification through simulation data, so as to provide the basis for the identification of overvoltages in the actual field.
