Investigation in Complex Symmetrical Modes of Electrical Power System

The paper covers the main methods applied to calculate currents in complex asymmetric modes of electrical power systems. A methodology for calculating electric quantities in complex asymmetrical modes in high voltage electrical networks is proposed. The calculation of short-circuit currents with a simultaneous break of the same phase on power lines (PL) 110 kV in Kazan electric power networks on the line of substations " Tsentralnaya-Vostochnaya " was carried out using the program for calculating short-circuit currents (SC). There was a break in one phase, the broken phase closed to the ground from the side of the substation Vostochnaya. Possible accident causes are analyzed.
