Comparative Evaluation of Ways to Use the Waste Heat of a Wind Turbine

To date, the wind energy industry continues to be the most promising renewable energy source. The most efficient use of renewable resources is one of the main tasks of the energy sector development strategy for the coming years. This article discusses efficient methods for removing waste heat from a generator in a wind turbine. The authors of this work, having studied the existing developments, described the technological processes in several stages, the passage of waste heat. Based on the analysis obtained, comparisons were made between cooling methods and waste heat utilization. Technologies for the use of waste heat, discussed in this article, can increase the efficiency of a wind turbine.
