Major Areas in the Topic of Charging Station Infrastructure: A Statistical Analysis and Literature Review

Due to the constant increase of electric vehicles all over the world, the issue of the possibility of integrating charging infrastructure into the unified energy system of a city is becoming more and more important. The topic of charging infrastructure includes a whole range of areas, such as: hybrid and off-grid power plants, infrastructure tasks, smart grid, energy storage, demand response, etc. New studies are regularly conducted in search of solutions to the issues in these areas. This paper presents a review analysis of papers on the topic of charging station infrastructure. The authors proposed a new approach to the analysis of publication activity, with the help of which the primary analysis of all works on this topic was carried out, the growth trend of the number of publications was identified, and the relationships between the areas related to the topic under study were plotted. Further, all the data obtained were summarized in a table and analyzed additionally. Conclusions on the current state of the industry were formulated, as well as the effectiveness of the used methodology for automated analysis of publication activity was analyzed and possibilities for its further improvement were proposed.
