Modern trends in quality of railway engineering to benefit future smart cities

A smart city is described as a clean and friendly place with good transport connections. Most of the Smart City's capabilities and opportunities revolve around its public transport network, especially a smart railway system. New technology, therefore, needs to be complemented with new quality control methods suitable to control engineering build technology using smart yet simple methods to keep quality standards in the rail network. Building rail cars in the modern world requires smart engineering skills and smarter quality control to have the builds meet customer expectations. Quality control plays an instrumental role in developing technologies and meeting requirements especially when the build is new and an improved model of the electric train. This paper explores the challenges and solutions used to meet the engineering quality of designed engineering cars. The paper also investigates the options and uses an actual build facility that is creating the trains today. These developments will contribute a lot to future smart cities.
