Study on Design Scheme of Indoor VSC-HVDC Converter Station

Voltage source converter based high voltage direct current (VSC-HVDC) is a useful technology which can be used for transmitting the power from area supplying the power to the load area. In the load area, the land space is limitied. So the plan of converter station which can be compact and harmony with the environment is needed. In this paper, the GIS equipment and multi-layers distribution building adopted in the converter station are suggested in the paper. The three-layers plan has higher reliability, compared with the two-layers plan.
