Research and Application of AC&DC Hybrid Power Grid Stability Control Technology

Based on the development experience of China, this paper profoundly analyzes the stability problems of the AC&DC hybrid power grid. It presents the related research and application of stability control technology. To support the construction of the Matiari-Lahore HVDC transmission project in Pakistan, a simulation analysis of Pakistan's AC&DC hybrid power grid is carried out. The configuration and functions of the security and stability control system(hereinafter called SSCS) are studied based on the operational risk analysis. The application of stability control technology in the Matiari-Lahore HVDC transmission project in Pakistan is also presented. Finally, further suggestions are made for the optimal application of the stability control technology in Pakistan, including the configuration of the centralized management system of security and stability control device(hereinafter called SSCD) and the application of the load control system to provide a reference for promoting the "going abroad" and the overseas application of Chinese power technology.
